Emma Williams

Emma is an Executive Director at Edelman Ireland with 14 years’ experience in the industry. She sits on the senior leadership team and shapes the local and global business strategy of the agency. As the Co-Lead of Brand, Digital & Creative at Edelman, Emma leads both local and international accounts ensuring strategy, creative, and digital are integrated into client work.

Emma is a Board Director of the Irish Advertising Practitioners of Ireland (IAPI) since 2021 and is the first person from a PR agency to be elected to that board. Emma represents the voice of PR members and works on initiatives to support agencies across Ireland to navigate both business and communications challenges. Emma also sits on the European Association of Communications Agencies as the representative (EACA) as the representative for Ireland on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Taskforce.   

Emma represented Ireland as a Young Lion at the Cannes Festival of Creativity in 2017. She was shortlisted by the PRII and PRCA that same year for the Young Communications Professional of the Year award. Emma was also named on PR Week UK’s 30 Under 30 list and was the only candidate selected from Ireland to be included in this list. ​In 2024, Emma was named in Business Plus Magazine’s PR 40 Under 40 list. 

Emma is passionate about creativity and how it can deliver commercially for clients. In 2023 Edelman travelled to Dubai to sit on the PR Jury of the Dubai Lynx Awards, MENA’s premier Festival of Creativity.   

Emma’s strength lies in interrogating a brand’s business issues and has she a proven track record in developing brand strategy to deliver on both commercial and creative results and has won multiple industry awards for her efforts. Emma’s passion for food translates to her work where she has devised brand strategies for some of Ireland’s biggest brands including Coca-Cola, Unilever and Fulfil.
